Brothers Safaris
became operational in January 2002 and has gone from strength
to strength, slowly becoming recognised as a specialist
tour operator offering excellent service and conservation
based, hands-on, behind-the-scenes safaris, as well as
tailor made traditional tours and safaris throughout Southern
Africa. The business is owned and managed by wildlife
Veterinarian, Dr Peter Brothers, who is also a registered
tour guide, and your guide on any specialist safari in
the African Vet Safaris portfolio!

Born
and bred in South Africa I have always been passionate
about the outdoors and wildlife. I was fortunate enough
to spend many hours in the outdoors from a young age and
thus it was no surprise that I chose to become a Veterinarian,
graduating from Onderstepoort Veterinary Faculty in South
Africa, in June 1996.
After just more than 5 years in conventional domestic
animal practice I decided that my general Veterinary knowledge
had been cemented through practice, and that is was time
to pursue my real passion - wildlife.
I opted for a novel approach to wildlife practice by involving
tourism and started my own safari business, specialising
in wildlife and behind-the-scenes wildlife safaris which
involve the veterinary and management aspects of wildlife
conservation. My hope in so doing is to create a long
term viable career in this field so that I am able to
sustainably share with others the wonders, trials and
tribulations of wildlife conservation today.
My passion for wildlife is strong as ever and it is this
very passion that drives me forward on a daily basis to
share with and educate people while fulfilling my dreams
and hopefully making a significant contribution to wildlife
conservation in the process.
I invite you to join me and experience this first hand,
your expectations will be exceeded!
Dr Peter S. Brothers, Pretoria, 10 July 2005
