Detailed itinerary 

Helicopter-over-FallsDay 1 &2:  The Zambezi Sun Hotel, Livingstone, Zambia  

Upon guests arrival into Livingstone Airport they will be met and transferred to The Zambezi Sun Hotel, where they will stay for 2 nights. 

The Zambezi Sun Hotel is located on the eastern side of the Victoria Falls (one of the Seven Wonders of the World) on the Zambian side. The Resort Complex is built along the edge of the Zambezi River and guests have direct access to the Victoria Falls on foot. 

The hotel has the feel of a century’s old walled city and comprises of open, organic buildings in earthy colours with rambling clusters of rooms. The 212 guest rooms open and airy, and are decorated in an African style. Room facilities include an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, an Internet connection, a king-size bed, a hire safe and central heating. The rooms either spill outwards into the natural African bush, or face inwards into a vast, cool, landscaped pool with private, shaded balconies offering guests a place to unwind, relax and enjoy Africa’s greatest natural wonder.The Restaurant and bar area are in the centre of the hotel next to a curving swimming pool. 

A vast number of activities can be arranged at the activity centre at the hotel, including elephant back safaris, white water rafting, Zambezi river cruises, bungi jumping, helicopter flights just to name a few. 

Chobe Safari LodgeDay 3&4:  Chobe Safari Lodge, Chobe 

After breakfast, guests will transfer by road and boat to Chobe Safari Lodge, where they will stay for 2 nights.

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated on the border of Chobe National Park close to the small town of Kasane, which lies at the northern apex of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Caprivi. Due to the lodge’s proximity to Chobe National Park, you can have a game viewing experience without leaving the lodge. 

Chobe Safari Lodge offers accommodation to suit all requirements with eighty rooms including luxury safari and river rooms, simple chalets as well as a fully serviced campsite all with access to the main lodge area. The luxury rooms have views across the Chobe River and are spacious and stylishly decorated with air-conditioning, en-suite bath and shower facilities, as well as satellite TV and phone. The newly renovated central area overlooks river and features a large family friendly swimming pool, buffet restaurant, bar, curio shop and beauty spa. 

During your stay you will liaise with the booking office to co-ordinate your activities which may include game drives in the Chobe National Park and boat cruises on the Chobe RiverAfrican_Fish_Eagle

The Chobe National Park is famous for having the highest density of elephants in the world (more than 40,000) and you will often see large herds congregating along the River. It is also home to a high buffalo and lion population which can provide dramatic game viewing. In addition to a variety of predators, there is an abundance of wild game and bird life which decorate these beautiful waterways.

Pom Pom CampDay 5&6:  Pom Pom Camp, Okavango Delta 

After breakfast, guests will be transferred by light aircraft to Pom Pom Camp, where they will stay for 2 nights.  Pom Pom is located in the heart of the Okavango Delta in a private concession to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is classically designed in the style of safari camps of old, overlooking the lily strewn Pom Pom Lagoon. 

Pom Pom Camp offers nine traditional large Meru-safari-tents with en suite showers and flush toilets, one of which is a family adjoined tent with shared bathroom. The showers are enclosed, but roofless – for a true bush experience. The camp offers a beautiful dining room, lounge area and bar looking out to the picturesque lagoon. In the evenings you can relax around the open fireplace right at the edge of the lagoon. Pom Pom Camp also has a nicely sized plunge pool to help guests escape the midday heat.

Activities included in this delta paradise are game drives, night drives, walking safaris and mokoro excursions all taken with local expert guides.  The tranquillity of the delta and beauty of its winding water ways, open lagoons and tree islands will be a highlight of your safari.Lion

Hippo and crocodile are found in the deeper lagoons and big predators such as lion and leopard, as well as buffalo, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest move through the area. If you are lucky, some of the nocturnal animals such as serval, civet and genet may be seen on night drives. Birding enthusiasts will enjoy the regular sightings of Pels Fishing Owl, African Fish Eagle, Giant Eagle Owl and White Backed Vultures. 

Africa Sky GuesthouseDay 7: Africa Sky Guest House, Johannesburg  

Following the morning activity, the guests will be transferred to Maun by light aircraft for their onward flight to Johannesburg. Guests will be collected at the airport in Johannesburg by a representative from Africa Sky and transferred to the guest house where they will overnight.

AfricaSky Guest House is a luxury executive guest house 10km from Johannesburg International Airport. Set in a beautiful garden that offers privacy to guests as each room has a private entrance. This owner run guest house epitomises warm hospitality and service excellence. A tennis court and swimming pool is available to the guests. Dinner is served at the guest house.

Moz-Baz-Lodge-BeachDay 8 – 12: Bazaruto Lodge, Bazaruto Archipelago  

Following an early morning start, the guests will be transferred to the airport for their flight to Bazaruto Island via Vilanculos. 5 Nights accommodation at Bazaruto Lodge

Bazaruto archipelago comprises Bazaruto, Benguerra and Magaruque Islands, as well as the smaller Island Santa Carolina, (previously known as Paradise Island). The archipelago, declared a National Park in 2000, sustains a diverse range of fauna and flora including forest, savannah and wetland ecosystems. Pestana Bazaruto Lodge is situated in the largest island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, approximately 800 km to the north of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique

Bazaruto Island is 35 Km in length and 7 km across at the widest point, and is a little piece of paradise! Part of the island is composed of enormous sand dunes, while the remainder of the island is thicket, grassland, scrub and wetland. Thick forests of casuarinas, coconut palms and cashew nut trees grow on its shores. Marine species include dolphins, dugongs, humpback whales, marine turtles and the freshwater lakes in the area are home to crocodiles. The impressive beauty of the coral reefs complements this subtropical ecosystem, enriched by the abundance and rare beauty of the tropical fish, clear water and excellent surf, plus rock and fly-fishing.  The archipelago is deservedly known as the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean".

Renovated July 2007, the lodge is the ideal getaway - a true African Island dream destination. There are 26 thatched roof "A" frame, air-conditioned chalets stretched along a beautiful beach and sited amongst tropical gardens.   • Free daily drop and collect at Dolphin Bay.
  • Free daily snorkeling at Coral Gardens Reef.

Other activities available include diving, snorkeling, deep sea and shore fishing, island hopping trips, picnics, trips by land rover, boat or local Dhow – these are for the guests own account.


Day 13: Safari ends 

Following their last morning on the beach, the guests catch their return flight to Vilanculous for their onward travel arrangements.

  • Balance of 70% payable 56 days before commencement
  • 60 Days or more prior to commencement: forfeit 20% deposit
  • Less than 60 Days prior to commencement: forfeit 50% of the package price
  • Less than 30 Days prior to commencement: forfeit 100% of the package price
  • Payment of deposit implies acceptance of terms and conditions
  • Cancellation must be made in writing to Brothers Safaris
  • An administration fee of ZAR 500-00 per person will be charged for amendments made after confirmation
  • Brothers Safaris reserves the right to use a similar lodge/hotel if the intended lodge/hotel is not available, this may affect pricing
